R.M.Williams opens new store in Bath
Bringing heritage craft to one of Britain’s most historic high streets
Australian bootmaker R.M.Williams announces the opening of its newest UK store at 42 Milsom Street, in a building first constructed in 1788. Two histories, shaped on opposite sides of the world, now meet in Bath’s newly reimagined Shires Yard.
Founded in 1932 in a modest workshop in South Australia, R.M.Williams was built on the principles of making things that last. The brand’s iconic one-piece leather boots are still made by hand using more than 80 individual processes - a tradition born in the Australian bush, refined across generations, and now carried into a building that has held over two centuries of community, trade and craft.
When the team first stepped into the former banking hall inside Shires Yard, where preserved stone and original patina create a quiet sense of time, the connection was immediate. For a brand built on heritage and craftsmanship, the choice felt instinctive.
The store offers the full breadth of the R.M.Williams collection, including: leather goods and belts, premium apparel, seasonal gifting, personalisation and leather debossing services.
To honour the community the brand is joining, R.M.Williams will release a content series on the day of the opening, spotlighting Bath’s current generation of craftspeople - those continuing the city’s legacy in food, design and material culture.

Luncheon
Luncheon makes a regular appearance in this window but I don’t think such a beautiful and substantial magazine can be over-exposed. Its table of contents is displayed as a fine dining menu with the content is arranged as the course of a lengthy lunch or dinner. The latest release marks a landmark twenty issues and packs the usual fare – art, literature, fashion and more – but its historical slant towards elevated, fine art photography now feels more tilted towards gastronomic affairs. Hardly surprising, as the publisher (the daughter of the late Lord Snowdon) is now also the proprietress of one of London’s more unique and interesting restaurants.

Theatre
Review: The Last Five Years at the Ustinov Studio
"Aspiring actress Cathy begins unravelling that analysis at the end of her relationship with Jamie. Jamie, meanwhile, starts at the very beginning. Their stories meet for one beautiful moment in the middle… at which point their wedding vows are little more than a poignant portent of the annihilation of promise."

Courting Colour invites viewers to slow down, look deeply, and allow colour to do its transformative work. It celebrates colour as a living, expressive force, one that continues to inspire, challenge, and delight. Through vibrant contrasts, muted harmonies, or unexpected juxtapositions, Louisa Burnett-Hall, Gina Parr and Robin Sewell, invite us into a different emotional register, revealing a unique chromatic world shaped by personal inspiration – whether drawn from nature, memory, emotion or pure abstraction.

Bath-based Canned Wine Group is turning Black Friday into a moment of support for The Drinks Trust
As Black Friday approaches, a time typically associated with flash discounts and hurried consumption, Canned Wine Group is choosing to channel the moment differently. Guided by a commitment to fairness, sustainability and considered enjoyment, it is transforming Black Friday into an opportunity to give back.
That’s why this year, Canned Wine Group is expanding its partnership with The Drinks Trust. From Black Friday through to the end of Cyber Monday (1 December) , 25% of all revenue generated across its e-commerce sites (cannedwine.co and coppercrew.com) will be donated directly to The Drinks Trust.
The charity provides crucial financial assistance, mental health support, training and wellbeing services to people working in the drinks and hospitality industry, support that is especially vital during a challenging period for the sector. This partnership builds on Canned Wine Group’s support for The Drinks Trust, with 10p from every can of Gamay and Verdejo bought at Ocado also donated to the charity until 31 December 2025.

The Gallagher PREM returns this weekend seeing the Blue, Black and White travel east to the StoneX to take on Saracens.
After a successful Quilter Nations Series campaign seeing 14 Bath players in international action, Johann van Graan has made his selection for the sold-out Round 6 affair on Sunday afternoon.
Beno Obano and Tom Dunn start in the front row, alongside Thomas du Toit who this week was named in World Rugby’s 2025 Dream Team.

In an all Bath Rugby Academy back row, Scotland’s Josh Bayliss, takes the blindside, with Miles Reid packing down at openside and Arthur Green completing the forwards at Number 8.
