AUCKLAND ANNIVERSARY WEEKEND
A fabulous weekend of sailing and launching for all with the Night Race to Mahurangi kicking it all off on Friday afternoon, 29 January.
Night Race & Mahurangi returnrace: Enter with the CYA: here
Mahurangi Regatta: Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions now available: Here
Launch Parade: Enter via an email to Joyce at firstname.lastname@example.org. Although entry is free, we need your launch design date, designer and any special items of interest for our beach commentator.
Please don’t just join in the parade – the beach commentator will have a list of you all in alphabetical order to make comments for the large number of spectators. Jumping in at the last minute REALLY skews the commentary and spoils it for the keen watchers on-shore!
Monday 1 February 2021: PORTS OF AUCKLAND ANNIVERSARY REGATTA
Skippers – please take note: Use the link below to enter. It's not part of the Mahurangi Regatta.
Yachts, launches and tugboats enter at www.regatta.org.nz. A fantastic array of trophies, cash and spot prizes is to be won.
NEW COURSE:Designed with your comments and suggestions taken on board
Course for ALL Keelboats and Mullet boats: Start to Torpedo Buoy (S), North Head Buoy (P), Cable Buoy (S), Saltworks Buoy (S), Northern Leading Buoy (S), Orakei Buoy (S), Resolution Buoy (S), to finish. Distance: Approximately 14.0 nm.
(Thanks, Roger Mills from Hummingbirdvideophoto.com for permission to use your awesome photo. Clearly participants at the Mahurangi Regatta know where the party is!)
Our friends at Off Center Harbor, based in the U.S., are preparing an online worldwide boat show. You'll catch all the details at https://www.classicboatshow.com
Even if you don't have a boat to enter in this amazing initiative, take a look at their promotional video. You'll see a number of our friends starring.
Their site is awesome - well worth the small subscription, which means they're not contaminated by ads. There are many videos of Kiwi boats and Kiwi scenes - they love to come to New Zealand when they can.
