Q: How did you become a reader?
A: I’ve been reading ever since I learned to read, starting in first grade. Thanks Mrs. Stampley!!! However, I stepped away from reading and only picked it back up when Covid had mandatory staycation in place.
Q: On a scale of 1-10 how important is reading to you? (10 is most important.)
A: I want to read every day. It's not a have to but a want. I’m investing my time and sharing in someone else’s creativities. So I’m thinking 8-10.
Q: What genres do you read?
A: Oh, I love sweet reads (both contemporary and historical romance), inspirational stories, cozy mysteries, and anything Christian, plus fantasy.
Q: Where is your favorite place to read?
A: I’m a normal nighttime bed reader but also have a cozy recliner chair. And good news, soon I will have a book nook which will include a comfy chair and reading lamp.
Q: What do wish authors did differently?
A: I love questions so I enjoy a blurb or write-up about books that have questions. They pull me in and then I want to know the answers.
Q: Do you have a favorite book and/or author?
A: Oh that’s a hard question. I love so many authors, including yourself. I don’t think I could pin point one, but I can make a list: (plus all their books are great) Tina Dee, Shonda Czeschin Fischer, Anne Perrault, KC Hart, and Peggy McGee, just to name a few.
Q: Anything else you want to say about reading?
A: I know some readers stress out about reading because they don’t read fast (raises hand here), but know if you find the right book for you you’ll fly through it. The more you read the quicker you’ll be. One great book is all you need to begin your reading adventure.
