Rhythms on the Riverwalk featuring Whiskey Rebellion - Thursday Sept 9th from 6:30-8:30pm

This high-energy acoustic band has played thousands of shows across the nation bringing a little bluegrass, jazz, and a bit of rock and roll to the stage. Concerts are free. Bring blanket and/or lawn chair. Coolers are allowed. Tasty Dogs food truck will be on site. Many of the restaurants will be open before and after the concert for dine-in and takeout options.

“Forever Marked By The Day” World Trade Center focused exhibit at the Muscarelle opens Friday Sept 10, 2021

Rediscover Custis Square an archaeological experience at Colonial Williamsburg

Program for kids and adults. Take a guided tour through Custis Square, where archaeologists have embarked on a five-year exploration of the four-acre home and early 18th-century gardens of John Custis IV. Tours begin at 9:30am, 11:00am, 1:30pm, and 3pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays thru Sept 30, 2021. This is part of your admission to Colonial Williamsburg or you can use your Good Neighbor Pass.

Williamsburg Farmers Market Sat., Sept. 11 from 8 am to noon

Find a large variety of produce, meats, baked goods, snacks, perfect for including in lunch boxes! Vendors are celebrating the change in seasons. 

This week's seasonal produce includes okra, tomatoes, melons, beets, onions, eggplants, cucumbers, microgreens, radishes, salad greens, cabbage and so much more. You can also find breads, pies, pickles, meats, honey, popsicles, etc.

Community Commemoration of September 11 - Saturday from 8:45 – 9:15 am

The Williamsburg community is invited to gather on the steps of the Courthouse at 101 W Duke of Gloucester St, in the heart of the Historic Area to commemorate the 20th anniversary of 9/11 and the attack on our nation.

With music, prayers, and reflections by community leaders, all are invited to pause, remember, and honor the victims of that day. The ceremony will culminate in the tolling of 20 chimes and the playing of “Amazing Grace” by a lone bagpiper.

Drool in the Pool at Chickahominy Riverfront Park Pool - Sat. Sept. 11 from 9 am to 1 pm

Celebrate the end of summer! Music, refreshments, and goodies. Pool passes for your dog will be available at the gate. All proceeds from the event benefit the homeless pets at Heritage Humane Society. Requested donation for entry to the pool is $10 per dog.

Girl Scouts Love State Parks Event at York River State Park - Sat. Sept. 11 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

York River State Park will offer two favorite programs to celebrate the day. Find prehistoric relics along Fossil Beach and catch some estuarine creatures with dip and seine nets. Families are welcome to attend. The Girl Scouts will have information on new members during the day.

Oyster Roast at Watermen's Museum Sat. Sept. 11 from 12 to 3 p.m.

The annual Oyster Roast fundraiser at the Wateman's Museum is always a great time! Enjoy fresh roasted or raw oysters from multiple local sources; regular and gluten-free clam chowder; hot dogs; sides from Carrot Tree; and more! There will also be live music! 9-11 Remembrance Ceremony at the Toano Fire Department on Sat. Sept. 11 from 7-7:30pm

Cub Scout Pack 414 in Toano honors veterans, first responders and those associated with the 9-11 tragedy each year by holding a 30 minute Remembrance Ceremony.  This is especially meaningful as this year marks the 20th Anniversary of the 9-11 terrorist attacks.  Join the scouts, veterans, first responders and others in honoring those most closely associated with the 9-11 tragedies.
