Hey good People – Gwynedd and I are looking for some help for the Stringybark Festival.
Let me know which of these you can help with:
1 We need at least 4 people to help us out with some planning. We only need 1 or 2 meetups, but it would be enormous …
2 We need 4 – 6 people to come and sit with us on the stall for an hour or two on the day (16 October), to give us some respite
3 We need some of your images to display/sell.
a. They need to fit the theme “Our backyard” so any nice images around Melbourne.
b. We are happy to take ones you’ve submitted for evaluation nights before (so they are already matted etc)
c. If you’d like the possibility of selling them, then we can do that for you too … 20% goes back to the club, so price accordingly (no guarantees though!)
Looking forward to your help Adam (0412 101 115)
Knox’s
Stringybark Festival is back again this year - an event show-casing
creativity and environmentally sustainable practice, with live
entertainment, community stalls, workshops. There’ll
also be a great selection of food stalls. It will be held on Sunday
16 October, 2022, 10am-4pm, at the Rowville Community Centre.
KPS
will be represented at the festival. With
a 3 x 6m marquee, we will be showing member photos, on this year’s
festival theme of Our Backyard (you can of course read almost
anything into this!), providing simple set-ups for visitors to take
portrait or still life photos using their own camera or phone, and
providing several short info sessions on still life or portrait,
emphasising simple sustainable accessible ways of working.
This
will be a fun day, with opportunities to entertain and inform kids
and adults, and maybe get a few new members as well!
Given
that we will need a minimum of 3 members at the stall for most of the
day, we will be calling for helpers. So, if anyone could spare KPS
2-3 hours on Sunday 16 October, that would be wonderful.
