It might seem obvious that for me right now it is my daily writing. While I can write anytime/anywhere (trained myself to do that when my kids were younger), I do preserve time and space for when it’s quiet and just me and my manuscript.

I work in education so in May (and then later in September), this gets harder to do, but when I sacrifice that sacred writing time, I can feel it. And so by writing about this here, I’m keeping myself accountable to my daily commitment. I am a happier, more grounded and balanced person when I do. I’m rooting to finish out May as full and joyful instead of hectic and stressful. There’s still time!
