Dear GNN faithful,

In both the USA and Nepal it is so busy for the leaders of Good News Nepal. Sometimes one has to “get out of the office” and away from the administrative tasks of running a mission!

Pastor Philip did just that and decided to go with Susila his wife on a mission trip west from Nepalgunj where they live. Philip, an expert driver, took our old Bolero on the several hundred mile trip. As a side note, how wonderful it has been to be gifted the Bolero maybe 5 years ago. It has made accessible many villages that normally would be very hard to reach on foot.

Some of the road obstacles you can see when you watch the interesting video in this Newsletter. I thought it was symbolic that a Bible is on the dash of the truck. We know that God’s Word is penetrating into the villages of West Nepal in this way and many more. Nothing can stop it!!!!

Stopping at a GNN church northwest of Nepalgunj about 100 miles, Pastor Philip shared the Gospel to a young lady. We put a picture for you to see of her kneeling as she receives Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, and afterwards when she was so excited to join the family of God. She will be mentored in her village by our missionary stationed there, Rupsee BK!

As part of any person becoming a Christian, they are given a Bible. In Nepal this is such an honorable occasion, to actually hold a Bible and call it your own. The other picture of a man receiving a Bible is because at the time of his conversion a Bible was not available right away. GNN receives Bibles through our association with The Gideons, and several other partners. What a blessing! As you can see, these bigger sized Bibles were donated to GNN by a man in Kathmandu who works for The Voice of the Martyr. At other times we give out Bibles that are smaller, containing the first 5 Books of the Old Testament and the New Testament all in their own language.

Our leaders did return to Nepalgunj, with many other stories we don’t have time for now, but if you know Pastor Philip at all, it won’t be long before he “gets out of the office” again!
