The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) has reported that the Liberian-flagged Container Ship PUMBA (IMO: 9302566) was attacked approximately 64NM northwest of Mocha, Yemen.

Initial reports indicated that the vessel was targeted three times without sustaining damage, with the nature of the attacks initially unclear; possibilities including missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), or unmanned surface vessels (USVs).

The UKMTO later reported that the PUMBA's Master had reported attacks from three small Houthi vessels, a Houthi UAV, and missile fire; all reportedly resulting in “minor damage” to the vessel.

All vessels in the area are advised to proceed with caution and to report any suspicious activities to the UKMTO.
