Connecting People to Christ for Life

THE MAIN THING

And looking about at those who sat around him, [Jesus] said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! 35 Whoever does the will of God, he is my brother and sister and mother.” – Mark 4:34-35

I’m thankful for the family of faith that we share as people connected to Christ here at Immanuel.  That’s a gift that’s made possible by Christ connecting us with each other.

This past weekend, we gave thanks to God for the blessing that He’s shared with us in Judy Schaefer for the past 40 years.  As Judy remarked during the presentations on Sunday morning, having so many people gathered together whose lives had been blessed by her service was a lot like a family reunion.  In Jesus, our Immanuel, we have life together.  Please join me in giving thanks to God for Judy as she looks ahead to retirement from ILCS, and pray for our Lord’s continued work through those teachers and educators like her who serve in Christ’s name!

In Christ,
Pastor Campbell

New Sunday Morning Course - "Conflict Resolution vs. Reconciliation"

The world tempts us to believe resolution is all that is necessary to move on from conflict. However, as Christians we are called to reconcile our relationships and not settle for simple conflict resolution. God could have resolved His conflict with sin by damning us all but by His grace, opted to reconcile us to himself through Christ. What difference does that make when we have conflicts today?  Join us on Sunday mornings at 10:15 as Pastor Campbell leads a study in the Sanctuary or online.
