Issue 78- September 18, 2020

Hello Friends-

"Welcome back to this week's episode of, "The Cre8tive Life"- your weekly newsletter full of lifestyle tips, smiles, and musings.

This week I have been mostly put on a self punishment for a major house organization project (and trying to hype myself up around that...because it is one of my least favorite things to do). Aside from that, I've attended a few interesting virtual events, talked to some homies, and taken lots of trips down memory lane (I seem to be in a pretty deep period of nostalgia as of late)

Anyway, I hope that you are doing well!

Random stories, pictures, video highlights, and other life musings can be found on my personal instagram page (@e101) and official brand page (@thecre8tiveartisan) throughout the week (when/if I end up posting anything).

*And, if you have missed any previous newsletters, feel free to check out the archive section on my website: HERE.

Continued prayers that you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy

(mentally & physically) out there 💗.

My weekly (random) compilation of some of my favorite "cre8tive" things that I want to share:

  • FAVORITE WORD: Uitwaaien (v): To take a break outside to clear one's head; to "walk in the wind"

  • ADVICE: “Where God guides, He provides." - Anonymous

  • MOOD MUSIC: My musical mood this week was highlighted by the Patti Labelle vs Gladys Knight event that took place this past Sunday. It was such a joy sitting in and listening to them share stories, and sing some of my favorite songs. This video clip is a LONG one; but, it's sure to bring you some smiles and joy if you're a fan of old school music like me!

  • QUARANTINE RECOMMENDATION: If you know me, you know that I love me some Trader Joe's. I'm super excited to venture out for my next "trek into the wild" to catch some of these new fall items. Have you tried any of them?

  • THE MORE YOU KNOW: As we all know, there is a big upheaval of post office drama, and frenzy around the safety of getting voting ballots safely to where they need to go in time for this crucial upcoming election. I figured I would share this important information on Where You Can Drop Off Your Mail-In Ballot For the 2020 Election for anyone who needs it.

  • LIFESTYLE TIP: So, I've decided to FINALLY put to use the blender that I got on Black Friday 2 years ago! I have been sourcing my collective community on their favorite healthy recipes, and have compiled a huge list of things to try. I particularly found this share of "The Ultimate Guide To Leafy Greens" to incorporate into smoothies (as well as recipes like this Pineapple Ginger Smoothie) to be super helpful! Let me know if you have any favorite things that you like to make!

I loved this posting of the different types of rest one needs. I found it to be quite illuminating and clarifying in understanding the varying temperance of my moods. Hopefully you will get something out of it too!

This week's challenge is to make sure you get the rest you need!

Sending another "Thank You" to those who have filled out the mini survey for my upcoming Cre8tive Art Therapy workshops!

I will be announcing the dates and times in next week's newsletter!

*Refresher: I will be facilitating small group "Cre8tive Art Therapy" sessions for people who need to take a little break from the madness of the world, and explore their cre8tive side.

Thanks in advance for your support!
