On the 24th of last December, Hakawy Festival Out of Cairo was revived once again by having the chance to put in place a fifth phase in El-Minya Governorate.
This phase took a different form as it didn't include performances by professional artists as the previous four phases, but it mainly was based on offering workshops in Theatre and Storytelling for children and young people from Bani-Ebeid and Abo-Korkas Al-Balad villages.
Each of these workshops was attended by around 20 participants along seven days in two of the AUEED cultural centers in the mentioned villages.
By the end of the program, the trainees were able to create and perform outstanding play as well as a Storytelling performance that was based on real situations/stories from their own life.
Hakawy Festival - Out of Cairo is a project funded by the European Union in Egypt, in cooperation with the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC).

AFCA at ASSITEJ France & Ebtedy virtual sessions..
AFCA's Founder and Artistic Director, Mohamed El-Ghawy, has been invited to participate in an online meeting organised by ASSITEJ France on the 7th of last December.
The session discussed the opportunities and facilities needed in order to let the children and young people be in the arts and culture track, especially, during times of crisis. As well as the role that foundations and individuals can play to achieve that objective.
On the other hand, Mohamed El-Ghawy was invited to an online workshop held by Goethe-Institute in the context of promoting the platform Ebtedy.com. The workshop's main topic was the Arts Management including arts management models, audience development and more.
