Empowering Black Entrepreneurs: Bridging Research, Policy, and Practice |

The Black Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub (BEKH at SFU) and the Black Advisory Hub (BAH at UBC) are thrilled to host the inaugural Black Entrepreneurship & Research Symposium under the theme “Empowering Black Entrepreneurs: Bridging Research, Policy, and Practice.”
The symposium will spotlight the findings of BEKH’s co-generated research report, “Empowering Black Entrepreneurship: A Comprehensive Analysis of Challenges, Opportunities, and Policy Recommendations for Western Canada,” and highlight BAH’s impactful efforts to build capacity, foster development, and enhance financing opportunities for Black entrepreneurial businesses since its launch in Vancouver.

AMS PEER SUPPORT |
|
AMS Peer Support is a free mental health and harm reduction service which provides confidential, one-on-one peer support for UBC students. Our trained Peer Supporters are prepared to talk to students about stress, anxiety, loneliness, depression, substance use, mental health, relationships, grief, and more. They also distribute free safer sex and safer substance use supplies and free hormone injection therapy supplies.
