It's been 2 weeks since Scars & Souvenirs: Max's Journey hit the (digital) shelves. I'm still floating on Cloud 9 because of that (fun fact: Sir Ralph Abercromby coined the phrase back in 1896! He became fascinated by meteorology while in the British Army. How cool?!) Anyway, before I head off to play Minecraft with the kiddos, I just wanted to say one thing.
Thank you so very much for all the support you all have shown to me during this ridiculous escapade of mine. I never realized it could feel so... amazing to accomplish this. A dream from childhood come true. I couldn't have done any of this without you.
In return, I've added a new book—virtual download only!—to my website. It's relatively short (only 10k words), but I quite like how it turned out. You can find it here.
Lately, I've been listening (or attempting to—yay for auditory processing issues and being mostly deaf in one ear)—a podcast called Good Influence with Gemma Styles. In it, she has a new guest each episode, and they talk about everything from mental health, body acceptance, climate change, and so much more. It's worth checking it out! Gemma has even helpfully added transcripts for those who need them! (I even emailed her to ask!)
I think that's all for this week. My plans for the week are to finish at least 5 chapters of the sequel, research for a new mafia book, find/organize a young adult book I started years ago, and finish up the laundry I should have done over the last 7 days.
