Full House for GEDC Lunch on Grundy's Economy and Prospects - Thank you for joining us!
Over 100 community leaders and partners in business joined the GEDC on November 1 for our luncheon on Grundy's Growing Economy. Monica shared a summary of the most recent data on the county's economy from the study done by the University of Michigan's Economic Growth Institute as a part of the Grundy Resiliency Project.
The GEDC has seen a 115% increase in prospect activity in 2023 compared to five years ago. Nancy highlighted Grundy's bustling development landscape, including recent and upcoming projects such as Procter & Gamble, Walmart Distribution, CPV Three Rivers Energy Center, GE Appliances/Haier Logistics, and the MachH2 Midwest Hydrogen Hub. Updates about the timely Grundy Moves Multimodal Transportation Plan were shared, and CSX's Adam Hess conveyed his insights on recent industrial development trends.

open house seeking input from those who live and work in Grundy County for the Grundy
The plan will identify potential transportation improvement
projects and investment priorities. After a public survey earlier this year,
this is another chance for the public to learn more about the plan and provide
direct feedback on it.
