GSEF took part in the European Social Economy Summit (EUSES), which was held last week, and organized a session on the topic 'Local Governments as the Cornerstone of Sustainable Local Economic Development through SSE: Tools & Best Practices from Europe and Beyond'.
Building on the Guidelines for Local Governments for Social and Solidarity Economy developed by the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD) and GSEF, this session explored methodological approaches on how city and provincial governments can best promote SSE through developing conducive policies and institutional environments.
