Just last week I shared with you my thoughts on Delivering Happiness. Even As I wrote it, I started thinking about this post that we had written a million years ago, about our delivery stats.

In that post, we talked about how many orders we had done, the pin codes we were shipping to, our actual delivery timelines in various parts of the country, and so on.

But that was 2 years ago!

Welcome to Dohful's Sunday Letter guys, today we bare our numbers in front of you as they are! 

So, as I said, the last time we did this, was 2 years back. We have seen the majority of our orders, change of delivery partners, and a whole damn pandemic in this while. Yes, lot has changed.

And overall if you ask me, I think we have improved on those numbers. I remember, even the Delhi NCR orders used to take about 2 days to be delivered in those days. Whereas now, all Delhi NCR orders get delivered the next day of the dispatch.

I'n fact, we have seen orders getting delivered to Mumbai, Banglore, and even Indore in just 1 day and we have also seen orders getting stuck in warehouses for more than 20 days due to the pandemic.

But rather than speculating and seeing just one-off cases, why not go through the data with a fine tooth comb and actually see how we are doing?

Yes, that's exactly what we'll do now! 

Before I start, I would like to tell you that these stats and numbers are from the 1st of Oct 2020 till 15th Jan 2021. That is about 3.5 months' orders have been taken into account for this email. 

So, in these last 3.5 months, we have shipped Dohful Cookies to 601 cities all across India, covering 1100+ pincodes. Out of which about 55% of the orders are from Metro cities. 

This number is shocking because back when we started, 71% of our orders, were coming from metro cities which has gone down considerably. 

I'm so delighted to see that people from all parts of the country are loving and supporting Dohful cookies, and not just the Metro cities. 

Within the Metro cities, Delhi NCR continues to dominate our orders, but its also because it contains 5 major cities namely New Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad, all of whom contribute appropriately to this number. 

In the last three and a half months or so, more than 1/4th of our orders have come from NCR, followed by Mumbai (my favorite city in the world!).

But the most important stat is the one that answers the question - How Many Days Does It Take To Deliver The Cookies?

Well, here are the actual numbers - 

If you remember, we dispatch all orders received up to 2 pm every day, the same day itself. This means that the cookies for all orders received up to 2 pm are baked the same day and dispatched from our side that very day.

Orders which are received after 2 pm are dispatched the next day. However, there is an exception to this rule.

On Sundays, none of the courier companies work. They don't come to pick up the orders and hence we don't bake and dispatch anything on Sundays.

So all orders received on Saturday after 2 pm are shipped on Mondays only. 

After an order is dispatched from our side, overall speaking, 70%+ of all our orders get delivered within 2 days from dispatch. This means that 70%+ of all orders dispatched on any given day (say, Monday) will get delivered within 2 days (Wednesday).

If we see 3 days from dispatch, this number becomes 90%.

And 98% of all orders get delivered within 5 days of dispatch from our side.

City wise speaking, the Delhi NCR orders all get delivered the next day itself whereas Mumbai, and Bangalore orders all get delivered within 2 days. 

For Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkatta, and Pune we have seen a delivery timeline of 2-3 days. For the rest of India, it can take anywhere from 2-5 days depending upon the distance from Delhi. 

So there you go guys, all our delivery stats in front of you as they are in our system.

But before I go, I would just like to say that whenever you order, please please please double check the address that you put, especially the Pincode. Because in my experience, most of the delivery related issues occur because of Autofilled information which gets submitted un-noticed.
