As advised by those in the know who pay my pieces, who control my narrative, I shall hereby endeavour to fill this post with as much useful information without the hindrance of my rambling getting in the way. I do this because there are some very important things to talk about this week.
Very important.
This has been stressed to me.
Now it has been stressed to you.
I’m definitely not going to ramble on about my show of the year. I'm definitely not going to hesitate in delivering important information, and I quote, “before you go on your usual word wanderings, Robert, which are very entertaining but don’t really help get the information across.”
In fairness, I think they are right.
With that in mind, Obliterated (which is criminally underrated like Teenage Bounty Hunters) is my show of the year. It's a catastrophe that it is likely to be missed by the masses because on the surface it seems like a shallow deep show with a prettier than pretty cast (incredibly pretty across the board). When really it’s clever and hilarious, I think it goes over many people’s heads.
Now in truth, The Bear is once again an absolute piece of art. However, it got pipped at the line for my “favourite show of the year” award by Obliterated. So guys, take a day, get some crisp sandwiches and watch as soon as you can because I’m fairly certain it will get no second season, nor will it last long up on Netflix. These streaming sites are taking down all these shows and it is such a shame.
You know They who are in control will probably be a little pissed that I’m lamenting less successful TV shows, but all this talk of Teenage Bounty Hunters has just gone and made me lament Teenage Bounty Hunters all over again. Let us just stop for a moment and think fondly of that show. Someday, when they make Spark City the TV show… I’ll still probably prefer Teenage Bounty Hunters, but for now, I shall absolutely not suggest you should call in sick from work, or go mitching from school and just watch Obliterated and Teenage Bounty Hunters.
But you really should.
I would.
And I’m awesome.
And I’m also awesome at getting important information across.
Now look, I could always be wrong in recommending these shows- so let me take this moment and suggest that if you enjoyed Cobra Kai, which is also totally an awesome show- then I most certainly think you will enjoy both Obliterated and Teenage Bounty Hunters.
Okay, I might be losing the run of my typing here. Might even be going off point from telling you guys some fantastic news about Spark City…but I just feel its very important that I clarify that I don’t think Cobra Kai is at risk of getting cancelled, unlike Obliterated, or the tragic genius of Teenage Bounty Hunters. So, at least it is nice to have a few certainties in life.
To continue on for a moment about Cobra Kai, I must say the second last season wasn’t my favourite – there was just way too much about Sam going on-I mean really, can anyone argue that Tori isn’t the more interesting character? More Tori, that’s what I say. Thankfully, the last season that aired was near perfect though and I eagerly await the next season.
Where was I?
Oh, yes, I am the bearer of some outstanding important news altogether.
Without any further delay.
