One of the core missions of NomadMania is to create meaningful connections between travellers from all over the world. That’s why we are continuously investing in developing tools that help you connect with more than 50,000 members across our platform.

As NomadMania grows daily (you can track the number of active users in real time on our homepage), the pressure on our infrastructure grows as well.

This is especially evident on the backend, where our team is doing an incredible job keeping up with increasing demand. Most of this work is invisible to regular users — but it’s exactly what makes everything run smoothly.

Recently, we’ve rolled out several upgrades to improve chat functionality. While we’re not trying to build another WhatsApp or Telegram, we do believe that NomadMania users should enjoy a high-quality communication experience within the platform itself.

For security reasons, starting a conversation is currently possible:

In our latest app update, we’ve also:

  • improved overall speed and performance
  • made easy photo downloading
  • enhanced chat stability
  • added a chat search box

You can also:

  • create group chats
  • share your location
  • send files

We hope you enjoy the improved experience — and we’ll keep building, step by step 🙂

Meeting All Over The World

Another great way to connect with fellow NomadMania members is by meeting in real life at our events — which take place almost every week in different parts of the world.

Here are a few photos our Envoys recently sent us from their local meetings.

Huge thanks to Nitin Tyagi, Yan Pun, Kevin Chang, Flor VallejoGuillermo BlugermanDjosa Mae Richards, Mauricio Pretto and Nick Zoa.

You can see all our events here — and you’re also welcome to host your own.

By the way, we’ve recently relaunched the NomadMania Envoy & Messenger Programme. So if you’re interested in representing NomadMania in your local area (or globally) check out all the details here.

This truly is a fantastic community, and we’d love to see you take part 💛

[TOUR] SYRIA UNEXPLORED EAST

Apr 20–26, 2026 (7 Days)

This Syria East tour is more focused on the post-war reality than a typical “classic” circuit. We follow the road from Damascus to the Euphrates, through former ISIS strongholds and Kurdish-run areas, then back via Aleppo, Afrin and the “Dead Cities”.

The route is based on our successful October 2025 edition, updated with deeper access and new political arrangements in the north-east.

This is an overland expedition with some long driving days and many walking visits. Special permits – especially for SDF areas – are obtained in advance and checked daily.
