Hello Friends!

Happy Friday! "Welcome back to "The Cre8tive Life!"- your weekly newsletter full of lifestyle tips, smiles, and cool things to check out!

This week has been a medley of deep reflection, deep cleaning, organizing, and binge watching "The Big Bang Theory." So, nothing "major" to report on aside from that...I am actually not too big on the holiday season, and can be a bit of a moody Scrooge...so, I tend to keep to myself (and avoid people) more than not.

Be sure to check out my pictures, video highlights, stories, and other life musings on my personal instagram page (@e101) and official brand page (@thecre8tiveartisan) throughout the week---I try to post some of my randomness there (***Although there isn't really too much on either page this time of the year).

Have an AMAZING weekend and upcoming holiday week!

My weekly (random) compilation of some of my favorite "cre8tive" things that I want to share:

  • FAVORITE WORD: Mauerbauertraurigkeit: (noun) The inexplicable urge to push people away, even close friends who you really like.

  • ADVICE:  "Joy over perfection.” — Anonymous

  • MOOD MUSIC: This week's music mood is powered by a happy moment of NPR's Tiny Desk bringing in one of my FAVORITE groups, Moonchild for a mini concert. Sit back and ENJOY THIS.

  • RANDOM RECOMMENDATION: On a whim, I decided to purchase Trader Joe's "Fiery Chicken Curry" (see in pic above) and was pleasantly surprised. *WARNING: If you have a spice aversion, or low tolerance of "the hot and fiery", you may want to sit this one out.

  • SOMETHING I WANT TO TRY:  I know nothing about this product outside of its name- but, these FITKICKS look like something I want to add into my lifestyle mix of everyday life. I love how versatile they seem to be, and how they can be integrated into everything! Has anyone else tried them?

  • LIFESTYLE TIP: When thinking about buying something you don't necessarily need, use one of these two tricks: 1) Leave it in your virtual cart for a few days, and see if it is something that you come back to and still want (*I DO THIS ALL THE TIME , and can totally vouch for it working); or 2) Imagine someone coming up to to you with the item in one hand, and cash in the other-and, offering you a choice. Which would you choose?

  • FEEL GOOD STORY: Loved hearing THIS STORY and learning more about Dan Price, the CEO of Gravity Payments, and how he has come up with a way to make a major difference in the life of his employees.

While scrolling through my instagram feed, I came across this graphic by @bymariandrew and absolutely loved it. I decided to use it as one of my exercises as I continue to firm up some of my 2020 goals; and, I thought that it might be an interesting share to "inspire" others as well. Let me know if you decide to implement it in anyway, too!

***NOTE: This is not my specific list above, but Mari Andrews 🙂

This week's challenge is to create your own graphic based on the idea of the above.

Thank you to everyone that has filled out the survey! I will be sharing some upcoming events that I have been working on in the next couple of newsletters- so stay tuned for more info and invites!

For those who haven't filled out the survey, I can definitely still use your feedback. So, if you have not done so already, please take  5 minutes to fill out:

Thanks sooooooo much in advance for your time!

***Totally disregard this part of the newsletter if you have already done this.

Lastly, if you happen to have any future topic ideas, or come across any events I should know about, PLEASE feel free to send those along my way. I always LOVE discovering and learning about new things!

Have a great day, and be sure to take time to enjoy your life!

*"The Cre8tive Life" is the weekly "feel good" component of my consultancy, The Cre8tive Artisan, which is where I "make the magic happen" and curate engaging lifestyle events that help connect us humans in deeper ways. Feel free to CHECK OUT MY WEBSITE to see what I do, and let me know if there is ever anything I can do to help you out! As always, if this newsletter is "not your thing", please feel free to unsubscribe (however, I really hope you don't).
