Now with all this talk of being thrifty, I don't mean that we shouldn't ever spend money. For me, it's more about picking and choosing what to invest in, what can be repurposed, and what to sweep away.
Because gardening can be expensive, I've found that experienced gardeners are among the most thrifty people on the planet. Why spend a lot of money when you can propagate plants for free, make your own compost and fertilizer, and grow your own organic produce?
One example I've shared this week is how I grow basil each year. It's less expensive than growing from seed, easy, and leads to up to a dozen healthy plants.
Finding clever ways to add to your lifestyle without subtracting from your bank balance are all aspects of a simple and thrifty life. It's also incredibly rewarding to be able to make and grow things with your own two hands.
Hopefully, I've left you with a little food for thought this week. Remember, thriftiness isn't about being cheap but being smart, creative, and resourceful.
Waste not, want not, and enjoy the best in life. Have a lovely rest of your week, , and see you next time 💚
