the Lord rules over all lives, it is the parents who have endowed the body to
the child. Clay and water are the gifts of Nature. But it is the potter who
makes the pots out of them. Hence gratitude to the parents is a primary
obligation. Students these days ask: "Why should we be grateful to our
parents?" They should remember that if they cause distress to their
parents now by their behaviour, they should not be surprised if in the later
years their own children cause similar distress. This is the law of action and
reaction that is always at work." Sri Sathya Sai Baba
Jai Sai RamRohitbhai, we hope that you are enjoying this glorious weather and that the sunshine is bringing you some cheer and light. This month we're celebrating Fathers Day and have our Ladies Retreat - all online so we hope you can join us for that. We also have more details about how you can participate in Global Service day.
As always, please do contact us through the centre email at the bottom of this newsletter if you have any suggestions, questions or concerns and we will do our best to answer them.
We will be celebrating Father's Day with a special online programme on Sunday 20th June at 9am. The SSE children and teachers have been working hard to make this occasion as special as possible for all carers but especially fathers and grand-fathers. So please do join us for what is bound to be a fun-filled morning.
This year our Global Service Day is on 17th July 2021.
This time every year we usually take our guests for a lovely day out which is enjoyed by them and also all the volunteers.
However, due to the pandemic we will prepare gift parcels for our guests and deliver them with love and care.
This year we are suggesting the following items for the ‘Gift Pack’:
- A pot plant for the garden or indoors (an artificial plant is also a good idea as its easy to care and look after).
- A mug for tea, coffee or soup
- LED tea lights
- Box of chocolates
- Biscuits (homemade or ready made)
- Hand Sanitiser (optional)
- Face Mask (optional)
A card saying that we are thinking of you, signed by yourself, would be really lovely to include with the gift pack!
If anyone wants to cook something nice for the guest, you are welcome to do so.
The list above is only a suggestion and you can be as creative as possible.
Let's make this Gift 🎁 Pack from you a special one for your guests with love.
if you would like to prepare a gift pack then please contact our service coordinators so that they can assign you a guest. Thank you in advance!
Project Sai Breath –Expanding to Nepal
Many devotees have enquired regarding helping Nepal with the current Covid-19 situation in that country. The core service team have been ascertaining their needs and how best to serve our brothers and sisters in Nepal during the difficult times they are faced with.
We have been advised that with hospitals being full Sai Centres in Nepal have set up halfway houses for those waiting for hospital beds and they have a need for Oxygen concentrators and PPE equipment.
To this end we are pleased to inform you that the Sai Breath project has been extended to serve our brothers and sisters in Nepal and if the need arises to help other countries in the future. As always, projects in Bhagawan’s organisation are funded through voluntary offerings that are generated through the practice of ceiling on desires.
Please contact any of the centre coordinators if you would like more details on how you can help.
Our next centre meeting will be held on Tuesday 6th July 2021 at 7:30pm via a zoom conference call. The log-in details will be shared via the centre WhatsApp groups.
We look forward to you joining us for this meeting.
IMPORTANT: We are updating our mailing list for the minutes of the meeting. If you still wish to receive the meeting minutes please email us at email@example.com

In June 2006, the centre conducted a First Aid training event. As you can see from the below pictures it was well attended and very interactive!
