Beste Geo-vrienden,

Goed nieuws voor iedereen die dacht dat de Kempense Geo Buddies in winterslaap waren gevallen want hier zijn we weer met de allereerste nieuwsbrief van KGB4.

Na een korte rustpauze om te bekomen van ons doldwaas KGB3-avontuur zijn we gestart met de voorbereiding van het vervolg hierop.  Enkele weken geleden waren we dan ook blij om onze listing en website in het nieuwe thema te mogen publiceren.

Na de thema's aarde, water en vuur is deze keer lucht aan de beurt dus maak jullie al maar klaar voor een stormachtige editie want het orga-team zal weer komen met een tornado aan toffe activiteiten, geocaches en events ! 

Onze listing staat online dus plaats alvast je "will attend", zo krijg je ook via die weg als eerste de nieuwe aankondigingen :

HQ organiseerde de oorspronkelijke Block Parties in Seattle van 2011 tot 2015. Gedurende deze jaren ontvingen slechts 5.064 geocachers het Block Party-icoon, waaruit blijkt dat het een vrij exclusieve activiteit was. In 2025 krijgen nu ook alle andere geocachers de kans om dit icoon te ontvangen door een Block Party te bezoeken.

Ook onze KGB website en de ticketshop zijn ondertussen gepubliceerd dus wie wil kan alvast tickets kopen voor KGB4.  Klik op onderstaande afbeelding om naar onze shop te gaan :

Wie graag één van onze exclusieve "VIP-pakketten" wilt reserveren raden we aan snel te zijn want net als de voorbije jaren is de voorraad strikt gelimiteerd.  In het VIP-pakket zit namelijk zoals steeds een uniek handgemaakt glazen kunstwerk en die oplage is zeer beperkt.  Er zit ook een KGB4 geocoin in het pakket maar die kan ook los gekocht worden, moesten de VIP-pakketten de deur uit zijn.

Verder hebben we deze editie een nieuw ticket geïntroduceerd namelijk het ECO-ticket.  Dit ticket is bestemd voor bezoekers die wel graag toegang hebben tot onze event locatie maar niet zo zeer onze KGB4 goodiebag, event woodie en verzamelbandje hoeven te hebben.

Daarnaast hebben we ook fijn nieuws voor al wie z'n KGB geocoin collectie wilt vervolledigen want de geocoins van de vorige drie edities zijn nu ook terug te koop om zo de vier elementen Aarde, Water, Vuur en Lucht compleet te maken moest je deze nog niet hebben.  Klik op onderstaande afbeelding om naar de shop te gaan :

Wauw, wat hebben wij genoten van KGB3 !  We hadden uiteraard weer veel geluk met het weer maar de echte warmte kwam toch weer van jullie!  Elke dag en elk event was te kort om met jullie allemaal een babbeltje te slaan maar de vriendschap en liefde voor het geocachen straalde uit over alle bezoekers heen!

Na een geweldige KGB3 editie kijken we met z'n allen opnieuw uit naar  "5 days of Geo Madness" in Lommel.  Hopelijk jullie ook dus tot ziens in Lommel !

Good news for everyone who thought that the Kempen Geo Buddies had fallen into hibernation because here we are again with the very first newsletter from KGB4.

After a short break to recover from our crazy KGB3 adventure, we started preparing the sequel. A few weeks ago we were happy to publish our listing and website in the new theme.

After the themes of earth, water and fire, this time it is air's turn, so get ready for a stormy edition because the orga team will come again with a tornado of great activities, geocaches and events!

Our listing is online, so place your "will attend" in advance, so you will be the first to receive the new announcements:

HQ hosted the original Block Parties in Seattle from 2011 to 2015. During these years, only 5,064 geocachers received the Block Party icon, showing that it was a fairly exclusive activity. In 2025, all other geocachers will now also have the opportunity to receive this icon by visiting a Block Party.

If you would like to reserve one of our exclusive "VIP packages", we recommend that you act quickly because, just like in previous years, stock is strictly limited. As always, the VIP package contains a unique handmade glass work of art and that's why it is very limited. There is also a KGB4 geocoin in the package, but it can also be purchased separately in case the VIP packages have been sold out.

Furthermore, we have introduced a new type of ticket this edition, the ECO ticket. This ticket is intended for visitors who would like to have access to our event location but do not need our KGB4 goodie bag, event woodie and collector's wristband.

Wow, we enjoyed KGB3 so much! We were of course very lucky with the weather, but the real warmth came from you! Every day and every event was too short to have a chat with all of you, but the friendship and love for geocaching radiated to all visitors!
