What's new with LASARD?

Happy New Year from all of the LASARD facilitators! We are excited to see what the new year brings for all of our districts, educators, and students we help support.

We've had several non-partner districts/organizations contact us to schedule a professional development in the recent months. We would like to thank Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy, Washington Parish Public Schools, St. Bernard Autism Krewe, Sexual Trauma Awareness and Response (STAR), and St. John The Baptist Parish Public Schools for asking us to present to their team of educators, parents, or volunteers.

The LASARD Project can provide professional development opportunities online or at your school, facility, or organization. Please complete and email the professional development request form to Julie Riley, LASARD Project Coordinator, at jrile1@lsuhsc.edu.

Louisiana Department of Education

Louisiana Believes is built on the premise that Louisiana students are just as capable as any students in America, and that those closest to children – parents and teachers – are best positioned to help students achieve those expectations. The Louisiana Department of Education offers many great resources to assist educators in collaborating effectively.
