I don't remember another time when the first major snowfall of the year didn't come until March, but that was the case this year. We had nine inches of snow when we awakened yesterday morning. Can you spot the white German Shepherd in the mountain of snow in that first picture? Sadie (our Maremma Sheepdog) made snow angels out in the riding ring yesterday.
Most of the snow has melted away, and today is a beautiful sunny day in Central Pennsylvania. There is more snow in the forecast, so we'll see what tomorrow brings.
The critters were a bit nervous for a bit while the neighbor was out shooting his rifle a few minutes ago, but he's back in his house, so all is calm on the western front.
