New Films

We are delighted to announce that cinematographer and visual effects expert, Steven Hall, will be joining us on Sunday 7th April to introduce our 6pm screening of DUMBO and for a short Q&A after the film. Steven worked on DUMBO as Splinter Unit/VFX Unit Director of Photography.

Steven has had a very distinguished career in film and television having worked on the upcoming Richard Curtis/Danny Boyle film YESTERDAY, A UNITED KINGDOM, BRIDGET JONES BABY, THE BFG, STAR WARS: FORCE AWAKENS, PADDINGTON, THE IMITATION GAME, STAR WARS: PHANTOM MENACE along with television drama such as TROY, BRITANNIA, HUMANS, OUTLANDER, PEAKY BLINDERS, RIPPER STREET, DR WHO and SILENT WITNESS.

Film Classics on the Big Screen

Our third Silver Screen season starts on 5th April with a screening of the 1951 musical AN AMERICAN IN PARIS (U) followed on the 19th April with David Lynch's elegiac tale of a retired farmer's trip across America on his old lawnmower to see his dying brother, THE STRAIGHT STORY (U). Everybody's favourite, THE WIZARD OF OZ (U) is on 3rd May and in tribute to the recent passing of the great Albert Finney, we are screening the British classic TOM JONES (12). The final two films of the season are the musical SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS (U) on 31st May and the Ealing comedy THE LAVENDER HILL MOB (U) on 14th June. The season will then take a break.

All screenings take place at 10:30am, tickets are £6 with a free tea/filter coffee and biscuit, and are open to all.
