The implementation of the Wellington Regional Growth Framework is being undertaken under the direction of the Wellington Regional Leadership Committee (WRLC) (see our story on this on our news page here.)
To drive the Wellington Regional Growth Framework work programme, and that of regional economic development, a secretariat is currently being established and people are being recruited into a number of roles which are a mix of full time and part-time roles.
The roles include a programme director, programme manager, project co-coordinator, communications and stakeholder adviser and an iwi liaison manager. Recruitment is currently underway, and we expect to have all these roles filled by the end of September.
The WRLC programme director role has been filled by Kim Kelly who managed the development of the Wellington Regional Growth Framework.
