Incident Description

It has been reported that a tanker was approached whilst anchored 20 NM off Conakry, Guinea. A fishing boat with four armed persons onboard, approached the tanker and came to within 1nm. The Guinean Naval armed guards onboard fired warning shots which resulted in the fishing vessel aborting the approach. The vessel and crew are reported as safe.
