What emotion do you feel when you give financially to the Lord? Maybe a better question is, what emotion do you feel when you are asked to give or you are presented with an opportunity to give? In 2 Corinthians 8, the Macedonians earnestly begged for the opportunity to help other Christians who were struggling under a famine. Despite their own poverty, they were excited for the opportunity to give. In chapters 8 & 9 Paul highlights this attitude and holds it up as something to be imitated. So, where does such a spirit of giving come from? Maybe you would love to improve your attitude in this area, but just do not know how. Thankfully the Apostle Paul points us in the right direction as he encourages the Corinthians to adopt this attitude in giving. Come out this Sunday as we explore the motivations that drive us to give - or not give.
