Opportunities for parents to get involved in school operations
Thank you for your support and participation in the Fall Festival – it was a huge success! ECS is entirely run by volunteers, and we depend on everyone's involvement. If you'd like to help with fundraising, please reach out to the Principal .

12/15 Recitation Contest. Please contact your room parent if you want to
support the school.
Teaching Observation

week is the last opportunity to help parents understand students’ learning
environment, classroom teaching and class organization. Sign-up form
is still open.

The 10th Glove Puppet Show Competition! IMPORTANT
Join
us on Sundays (11/17) to experience the LIVE Glove Puppet Show here
at ECS! The 10th Glove Puppet Show Competition is performed by our 2nd year
high school classes. They utilize the knowledge learned from the Culture
Program and come up with their own scripts and ideas. Original posters, sound,
special effects, and modern stories will keep you engaged!

requires each student to participate in this contest. The contest is scheduled
on 12/15. Students are encouraged to select the recitation materials and to

Congratulation to ECS Star Chinese Phrase Recognition Team NEW
The 2024 WMACS Chinese Phrase Recognition Contest was held on Saturday 11/9 at Cultural Center of TECRO in Maryland. Our students worked hard, and the competition was fierce. They won several awards. Congratulations to the following winners!
● Elementary School Division: Excellence Award: E4A Freya Chen, E5A Aiden Zhang, E5A Sonia Chu
● Middle School Division
○ 3rd Place $10 per person: M1A Kaylee Chang, M1A Megan Chu, E6A Akeira Tsai

【Activities】
2024 ECS Ski Trip to Seven Springs: Registration UPDATED
Information Session: 2:15pm on Sunday 11/17 at 1F cafeteria for registered AND interested families.
EPIC PASS Price INCREASES on 11/17 and the ECS discount ends on 11/30.
We have arranged significant discounts again for the Ski Trip to Seven Springs Resort! This is also ECS’ largest fundraiser of the year! Both ECS and Non-ECS families are welcomed to take advantage of the discounts. The discounts apply to both ECS Ski Trip and EPIC Passes:
● ECS Ski Trip
○ Reservation dates from December 22 (Sunday) to December 26 (Thursday). Come for any 2 nights to 5 nights
○ Offer condo options
○ Registration for the ski trip and lodging HERE
○ Early Bird Discount: Saves 10% on registration fees if you register by October 20th
○ Registration will be confirmed with the receipt of either check or Paypal for the confirmed lodging amount.
● EPIC Passes Details

○ EPIC Passes can be used all season long at ANY Participating Vail resorts (Liberty Resort, Whitetail or other participating Vail Resorts)
○ You can get EPIC passes for ECS Ski trips and the balance of the days on your own in January or February during non black out dates at participating Vail Resorts.

Thank you to all the families who have donated, served and attended our Fall Festival this year! All the service points have been updated on ECS accounts. Please check your points HERE by 11/19 and contact the Fundraising team if any questions.

Join us at Sweet Frog on 11/17 after Chinese School. Please mention ECS at the checkout and 25% of the sales will be donated to ECS. Or show them our ECS Sweet Frog Flyer .
Congratulations to the winner of the Most Donated Dishes at the fall festival – K3A! K3A students will get free froyo from Sweet Frog on 11/17. Must attend class to get their froyo ticket.
