I woke up on Tuesday morning because of rain. Like, really early. I woke up at 4:30ish am.
Then it started storming, I said, "that's it, I'm not going back to sleep."
And then I thought of the song "I Love a Rainy Night" by Eddie Rabbitt (see above).
I love a rainy night I love a rainy night I love to hear the thunder Watch the lightning When it lights up the sky You know it makes me feel good
Yup, it was a rainy morning and a reminder of the inevitable in life.
My friend Briar sent a gut-wrenching email yesterday. She spilled her guts about some things that happened in her life. It was heartbreaking.
I know.
I've had many similar "rainy nights." (metaphor activated).
I know what it's like to have the hard times.
But you know what? The hard times make us stronger. They make us better.
Now, I'm not advocating being happy about them. I am not making excuses for anyone who did you wrong. I'm just saying, they can be a blessing when we become better, smarter, wiser.
Rainy nights can be a blessing when we become stronger.
That is a hallmark of a Legacy Maker. They embrace the pain and become better people. Better business owners.
It is easy to look at all of the success of other entrepreneurs and think we aren't doing enough. But, we are! You are!
If you are helping people, you are making a difference.
Don't let rain nights wash out your mood or disrupt your life, but let them, as Eddie Rabbitt says,
Showers wash all my cares away I wake up to a sunny day
So, what is a Legacy Maker? That is my next goal, write all that down. I was encouraged to do that today on Twitter.
Stay tuned if you wanna know more, the article is pending.
Feel free to message me if you have questions or thoughts.
