Happy National Farmers Market Week!
This is the week we join other markets across the US in celebrating the vital role farmers markets play in our communities. A weekly farmers market like KSQ is not just a place to get fresh, delicious, and nutritious food directly from small, local farmers and producers. It serves as a gathering point to make meaningful connections with each other while strengthening our local economy. It's a place to grow healthy people and healthy communities!
Come celebrate all the amazing things to love about farmers markets at KSQ this Friday! While there, be sure to:
- 🎟️ Enter the NFMW Raffle to win $25 in KSQ Market Dollars to spend at future markets!* Five lucky random winners will be notified this weekend.
- 💚 Help us get healthy local food to neighbors in need by purchasing something extra at market – produce, eggs, etc – to donate to KACS Food Cupboard. Just look for the green donation bins! (*A donation this week gets you an extra raffle entry!)
- 🔎 Bring the kids for the Farmers Market Forage scavenger hunt, and have fun exploring the amazing variety at market!
- 📬 Visit our new market mailbox to write a quick note of gratitude for the market, our community, or a favorite producer, and drop it in the "appreciation post"!
Other bites of news:
- Don't miss monthly producer Revolution Bees Mead!
- Hangry Bear Creamery will have affogatos + root beer floats available in addition to their ice cream 🍨
- WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) + Senior FMNP checks are welcomed by our PA-based produce farms: Full Table, King's Sweet Corn, Rex Farms Orchard, and Swallow Hill.
- Love the market and have some time to share? Volunteer to be a Market Greeter or Breakdown Crew! Sign up here or stop by the Info Tent to learn more.
As always, there's plenty of free parking on site at 600 S Broad.
See you there, Kennett Square!

A reminder to savor + SAVE the season...
August is the month to make the most of local summer produce at its peak. Beyond enjoying as much as you can fresh from the field, start stashing some corn and peaches in the freezer, or tuck some tomatoes away for cold-weather soups and sauces. Your winter self will be so grateful you saved the best summer flavors — even in small amounts!

Rain or Shine!
We're committed to being a rain or shine market! If there are any changes due to extreme conditions, we will provide updates via email and social media. Check Facebook & Instagram if you're uncertain on market day.
Shopping Hours
We need every minute until opening time for all vendors to be fully ready. If you arrive before opening at 3pm, please wait by the entry signage at either end, and listen for the bell to ring to welcome you in. We truly appreciate your cooperation!
During the main season (May–Oct), our usual hours are 3–6 PM.
Location & Parking
Find us in the south end of the parking lot at 600 S. Broad St, Kennett Square, PA.
Plenty of FREE PARKING is available on site!
ACCESSIBILITY: There are a few parking spots near the first entry reserved for those with limited mobility. If you need any assistance to shop, please let us know how we can help.
Market Shopping Tips
- Preorders continue to be helpful for both producers & customers, so take advantage of that option as available to secure exactly what you need for the week.
- BRING CA$H as not all vendors accept cards or have a minimum for card use. (Cash is always appreciated, as the fees for card use add up for small businesses!)
- PA-based produce farms accept Farmers Market Nutrition Program (WIC) + Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program checks from June–November. Participating farms: Full Table Farm, King's, Rex Farms Orchard, and Swallow Hill
- BYO reusable bags to help reduce plastic waste.
- BYO cooler or insulated bag to help keep things fresh and safe on warm days as you travel.
- Feel free to use the red market wagons + black shopping baskets to help carry your load as you shop — just return to the Kennett Collaborative tent when done.
- Stop by the Kennett Collaborative info tent or ask one of the vendors to point out Ros, the Market Manager, if you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions.
Market Manners for Dogs
- Well-behaved pups kept on a short, non-retractable leash are welcome at market!
- Please be sure your dog is comfortable walking calmly past people and other pups of all sizes without lunging, barking, or growling. If you are unsure, please be kind to your dog and others by not bringing them to market.
- If your dog becomes stressed or uncomfortable, please quickly step out of the market area.
- Mind your dog's manners while shopping.
- We appreciate your consideration to keep all safe and happy!
