To be honest I was never really a big fan of New Year’s Eve, especially since becoming a mum. A late night and groggy head were not exactly my idea of a good start to the year! Instead, I changed around the typical New Year’s celebrations. I set my alarm to catch the sunrise and ring in 2023 with a celebratory glass of champagne with brunch, usually followed by a forest walk.
And although it meant that last night I was asleep when most of the country was celebrating, today I get to spend new year’s day full of energy doing something that brings me joy.
Here’s to a happy, healthy, productive new year, filled with possibility and peace of mind.
