The report, published every 5 years, shows that Australia's environment has deteriorated under the pressures of climate change, habitat loss, invasive species, pollution and mining - threatening biodiversity and every ecosystem on the continent. Sadly we see these additions to the threatened species list: Koala, Gang Gang Cockatoo, Great Glider, Watsons' Tree Frog, White's Seahorse. They also report there are now more non-native plant species in Australia than there are native ones.
Taking swift, bold action is critical to turn things around.
