Goodbye April, Hello May! |
I *think* we've entered our third spring (after a few false starts). Hopefully, we've seen the last of the snow, because I'm ready for those warm summer days. Several local libraries have seed libraries and (again assuming the snow is gone), we can start to get planting!
Speaking of growing trees, it might be a good time to dig into your family tree! Did you know that our local branch has volunteer researchers who can help you to dig a little deeper into your family tree? Click this link to access the research form and start (or continue) your journey!

This is an informal session/discussion to get to know our members! We are interested in what families you are researching, your previous genealogy experience, what you might be specifically looking for and more. Current OGS volunteers will guide the discussion and hopefully help you break through some brick walls. Open to all members.

By weaving together a collection of Niagara Falls stories, this exhibition at the Niagara Falls History Musem seeks to celebrate the diversity of women’s roles within the labour force. It highlights not only the success of women in traditional roles, like teaching and nursing, but also showcases the strong contributions carved out by female leaders in our community as artists, broadcasters, activists, historians, managers, and politicians. Check out this wonderful exhibition!

Surname Research Form & Index |
In an effort to connect the Family History Community within the old counties of Lincoln/Welland, we have developed a submission form that connects to a searchable index. This index allows you to submit one ancestor at a time, which you can include further information and your email address.
By submitting your information, you need to give permission for others to contact you. This permission can be granted on the form.
Please see the example in the index, Happy Researching and connecting with others.
