Dear USET/USET SPF Family,
The USET Office of Tribal Public Health (OTPH) is committed to sharing pertinent public health information and health related opportunities with our member Tribal Nations. Aspirnaut™ is a K-20 science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) pipeline program with a goal of increasing STEM achievement and the number and diversity of students entering the STEM workforce. Students will have the opportunity to build long-term relationships and gain support throughout their educational and career journeys.
Participants will work full-time for six weeks as members of a scientific team in a biomedical research lab at Vanderbilt University. They will conduct their own research project in the assigned lab and engage in activities that develop professional skills and promote self-discovery. The program is residential and includes room, board, and a stipend of $2,000, which is paid at the end of the program. Vanderbilt University’s campus is located in Nashville, TN.
Application Deadline: The deadline to submit the application and all supporting materials is January 15th, 2025, at 11:59 pm Central Standard Time.
More information can be found on their website: www.aspirnaut.org. Please reach out directly to Sabrena Moser, program manager for Aspirnaut, at researchinternships@aspirnaut.org or 615-936-5275 with any questions or concerns.
We hope to see many students apply for this unique opportunity to learn, grow, and gain experience in the health field.
