Dear Members,
As 2024 comes to a close, we are thrilled to reflect on a month filled with remarkable achievements, collaborations, and initiatives that continue to elevate Pakistan's ICT sector. December was a testament to the resilience, innovation, and passion of our community.
We started the month by supporting the Reach to Teach - Ride for a Better Tomorrow event. At the APICTA Awards 2024, Pakistan achieved an extraordinary milestone, winning 10 prestigious awards, reinforcing our global standing in ICT innovation. Later in the month, we hosted an exclusive session with renowned AI expert JJ Zhuang, fostering dialogue on the transformative potential of artificial intelligence.
P@SHA signed an MoU with Saleem Memorial Hospital, strengthening our commitment to leveraging technology in healthcare. Our discussions with the Intellectual Property Organization, Senate of Pakistan, and the Federal Board of Revenue addressed critical industry concerns, including IP protection, internet stability, and taxation.
The Skills Committee played a pivotal role in bridging skill gaps in animation and game development through initiatives like the British Council-NAVTTC collaboration and the National Committee on ICT Skills meeting. We also launched the CXO Mentorship Program, connecting industry leaders with emerging professionals to nurture the next generation of IT talent.
Our P@SHA x USAID-ERDA session on Gamepreneurship inspired students to explore opportunities in Pakistan’s growing gaming and animation sectors, highlighting the potential of this industry to drive innovation and economic growth.
As we prepare for 2025, let’s continue to build on these achievements. From strengthening collaborations to shaping policy frameworks and fostering skills development, P@SHA remains dedicated to empowering our members and showcasing Pakistan's excellence on the global stage.
We thank each of you for your contributions and commitment to our shared vision. Here’s to a future of growth, innovation, and success for Pakistan’s ICT sector!
