We push boundaries, explore the unexplored, and bring destinations to life. That’s why for our Fergana Conference (May 24-28/31) in Uzbekistan, we’ve prepared something truly groundbreaking!

For the first time in history, an international group (~100 travellers) will venture into two Uzbek exclaves — Sokh and Shohimardon, located within Kyrgyzstan — along with the never visited Khanabad panhandle.

These three extraordinary locations are part of NomadMania’s DARE (Distinctive Alternative Remote Extreme) places.

Once-in-a-lifetime experiences include:

  • Chartering an AN-2 flight to Sokh
  • Riding a Soviet-era cable car in Shohimardon
  • Visiting the Andijan Dam in Khanabad

Join us at the NomadMania Conference No. 5 in Fergana taking place on May 24-28/31. Only around 20 spots left — secure yours now :-)

As we need to apply for permits, this is your 'final call' if you want to meet lots of like-minded people in a ground-breaking event (see below).

New Partnership and Registration Deadline

Nothing would be possible without our close cooperation with the Tourism Department of the Fergana Region. In fact, the trip to Shohimardon exclave was proposed to us personally by the deputy governor of Fergana Region, Hurshidjon Akhmedov (left on the photo).

Together, we are committed to showcasing the incredible tourism potential of this breathtaking region of Uzbekistan and making this event truly unforgettable.

However, all visits to the above places requite serious paperwork preparation. In the case of the Sokh and Shohimardon exclaves, it also has to be coordinated with Kyrgyz authorities.

Therefore, we shall accept registrations until April 6th and then pass the final list of participants to our Uzbek partners for all the preparations.

So, now is the best time to join if you were considering this :-)

They Travelled to 193 Countries!

Why Did They Do It? And How?

Kathleen Hughes, a writer from Los Angeles who attended the Extraordinary Travel Festival last November in Bangkok, has written an insightful  article in The Wall Street Journal about our travel community chasing to visit 193.

It provides an interesting look on what drives all us travellers :-)

Is it the thrill of ticking off a list, the pursuit of personal transformation, or the prestige of joining an elite club? From navigating war zones to bonding with strangers in remote villages, their journeys reveal not just the beauty of the world — but also the risks, rewards, and rivalries that come with it.

First NomadMania Meeting in Central Asia

Recently, our envoy for Central Asia, Akbabek Taganova, hosted a NomadMania meeting in her hometown of Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.

The event brought together Turkmenistan’s leading tourism professionals and passionate travel enthusiasts. Akbabek, having explored over 100 countries, shared her incredible journey, inspiring a new generation of travellers in the country.

This was just the beginning of NomadMania’s presence in Central Asia, with many more gatherings to come. The next meeting is set for April 15th in Dushanbe, Tajikistan — stay tuned!
