I am so enjoying L Darby Gibbs' books. "The Don't Eat Humans Clause" is a prequel to her Solstice Dragon World series, but it's a complete stand alone story.

I don't actually have a cat. I suspect that if I did, I'd find my cat sitting on my keyboard, which would delay my writing even further! Now you've met the zebras before - and you probably will again because they are adventurous little creatures. But these three sit on my desk and smile at me, encouraging me to get on with both my writing and the rest of my day.

If you are, or have ever been, a Pokemon fan, you'll recognise Growlithe in the middle. On the right we have Pluto, from a long ago children's fast food meal. He's actually an Odie, from Garfield, but I've called this one Pluto! On the left is Blob. Blob used to light up and cycle through multiple colours but I think he needs a new battery, which means finding the right screwdriver....
