ARCHIVIO
ARCHIVIO highlights the value of archive, which we often regard as junk, arguing that after recording and digitalisation it can become a library of endless potential. Following two four-part series examining watershed eras in recent history, this unique Italian journal releases the third issue of its third cycle (following releases on fashion and design) which examines the world of technology archives. It does this in three sections: ‘Stories’ explores the foundational moments of the digital revolution, tracing cultural and technological trajectories that reshaped the way we live. ‘Institutions’ highlights museums, research centres and foundations that preserve, study and exhibit technological artifacts. ‘Collectors & Collections’ focuses on individuals and groups who have preserved key fragments of our technological heritage, safeguarding not only objects but also human stories, experiences and visions.

Back on the screen again this weekend when the film ‘Mother’s Pride’ opens in UK cinemas, the picturesque setting of Iford Manor and the surrounding countryside within the Iford Estate is featured / was a base for filming.
Created by the team behind hit film ‘Fisherman’s Friend’ and featuring a cast of well-known actors including Martin Clunes, James Buckley and Gabriella Wilde, Mother’s Pride tells the story of a failing pub, a divided community and a grieving family whose lives are changed by brewing real ale.
