I found that so encouraging. We don't have to invent something brilliant every day. We don't have to reinvent ourselves constantly. The truth is the truth regardless of how feel, and it is revealed by the world as it is.
The morning is wiser than the evening, as the fairy tales say :)
I hope that thought resonates with you as well.
Here are some other fancinating things I've been reading and listen to this past month:
1. Have you heard of Jay Johnstone? Check out his incredible Tolkien-themed art, inspired by medieval manuscripts.
2. I've been thinking a lot about adaptation lately. This article was a pleasant diversion for those who know and love French children's comics.
3. How do you destroy a fairy tale? Well, you can start by reading the handbook on how to do it, written by Guillermo del Toro. This series is definitely something I WON'T be checking out.
4. Did you know that insanity in a writer is not simply recommended, it's actually required!
5. Does anyone here remember the glorious awfulness of the Sci Fi Channel's adaptation of Dune in the 2000's? Here's a reminder of why it's weird and wonderful.
I'm also very happy to let you know that The Son of the Deathless should be done by next week! So keep an eye out, you'll be getting a new story for free from me very soon!
Thanks, as always, for coming along with me for my writerly adventures!
