LCAP collaborated with Press to raise enlightenment regarding the importance and current status of local governments in Pakistan. It also struggling to shake the cages of upper tiers of power to free the devolution process.
Strategic Plan Development for MDC & Training Sessions on Minority Laws held by LCAP
Local councils Association of the Punjab in collaboration with the European Union and Commonwealth Local Government Forum has organized two consecutive workshops for Minorities Development Committee (MDC) Punjab. On the first day, LCAP held Strategic Plan Workshop for minorities. The objective of the workshop is to understand the challenges of minorities, discuss possible solutions and develop a long-term Strategic Plan.
On the second day Women Development Committee (WDC) Chairperson, Ms Zaib-un-Nisa delivered the workshop on Christian Marriage Act 1872 and The Christian Divorce Act 1869, and WDC member Advocate Farzana Abbas delivered the workshop on Law of Inheritance.

Workshop Sessions Conducted for NWDC on Strategic Plan Development and National Laws for Women In Pakistan
Local councils Association of the Punjab (LCAP) in collaboration with the Commonwealth Local Government Forum (CLGF) with the support of the European Union (EU), held two workshops for its National Women Development Committee members (NWDC) on the platform of the Association for Development of Local Governance (ADLG).
During the session, experts delivered training and conducted interactive sessions on distinctive topics for building capacity of women councillors.
