Prototyping in 2023

one6G Association’s Working Group 4 released a comprehensive White Paper titled “Prototyping in 2023.” The paper describes 9 demonstrations presented at the one6G Summit 2023 in Munich, Germany.

During the one6G Summit 2023, the attendees had an opportunity to examine various technical solutions and discuss them with developers and researchers. During the 2-day event, 9 demo stations were available to the audience. A significant portion of the demonstrations featured robotics as a new promising use case for 6G.

6G Technology Overview

one6G recently published the third edition of “6G Technology Overview,” which explores the world of 6G, outlining the advancements designed to address the global networking service requirements of 2030 and beyond. The White Paper covers several groundbreaking technologies pivotal for 6G evolution, such as terahertz frequencies, 6G radio access, integrated sensing and communication, non-terrestrial networks and more. For each technology, the White Paper offers background information, explains its relevance to 6G, presents key problems, and provides a thorough review of the current state of the art.

A Methodology to Identify Potential Service Requirements for 6G-Empowered Robotic Use Cases

A major takeaway from this publication is the methodology presented to ascertain the needs of 6G robotic use cases across various dimensions. By breaking down robotic use cases into phases and atomic functions, one6G provides a template of atomic functions and handlers common to all robotic use case classes to establish system requirements for each robotic interaction class. With an accurate identification and description of atomic functions in a robotic use case, one6G establishes the basis to perform a detailed system requirement analysis per atomic function with a detailed use case analysis template.
