Just a quick note today between newsletters--because this is BIG.
Multiple major news organizations are reporting that the CDC appears ready to end the inbound Covid-19 testing requirement for travelers entering the US.
Although on the one hand I do value knowing that everyone on my flight has tested negative, I also recognize that this has been viewed by many as a flawed policy. Land borders did not have the same rules; double-boosted people can test negative for days even with mild symptoms; domestic long-haul flights had no such rule.
I myself will still plan to self-test before travel, simply because I do not want to spread the virus to anyone else should I contract it.
I have assisted many clients with procuring tests in foreign locations and I have even held a "telemed testing party" in a Rome hotel room to assist clients through the proctored telemed testing process. Although I am willing to continue to provide this kind of advice, with the aim of helping my clients engage with the world again, I will not miss it!
I hope this is welcome news for you as we plan your next global adventure!
