Dear Readers,
We are delighted to announce our upcoming webinar: “How Can I Be A Better Activist?” organized in honor of World Refugee Day (WRD) on 20.06.2023 to change the way we advocate for the rights of people on the move.
The discussion will explore the most recent developments for refugees and asylum-seekers at the EU and regional levels, specifically focusing on the New Pact on migration and asylum. Our primary objective is to examine how citizens and activists at the local level can effectively advocate for the establishment of humane migration policies, directing their efforts towards government officials, Members of Parliament, and Mayors.
We will delve into the limitations of current strategies employed in order to address border violence and create a compassionate reception system for displaced individuals. Some of the covered topics will be about alternative approaches such as Municipal Relocation and Hope-Based Communication, in an effort to redefine our advocacy practices and propose innovative solutions.
The panelists are distinguished speakers representing various backgrounds, including individuals with first-hand experiences as displaced persons, organizations actively involved in political advocacy, and experts working in border regions. Their diverse perspectives and insightful ideas will enrich the discourse, offering valuable insights and inspiring change.
This event is a great opportunity to discuss and reflect on the topic of refugees for NGOs, Parliamentarians, activists, and individuals passionate about promoting and safeguarding the rights of displaced persons. We firmly believe that through meaningful discussions, we can foster a more inclusive and empathetic society.
Mark your calendars and join us as we embark on this journey towards advancing advocacy for the rights of displaced individuals.
