Last night at 7:01 PM our family welcomed Ezra Nehemiah Tanner to our family.
This was a really unusual pregnancy for us, and the first c-section delivery. But praise God, the delivery went well, and both mom and baby are doing fine! They are of course both resting, and will be staying in the hospital for a few days, just to make sure the baby continues to do well, and Lisa has some time to recover.
We want to say thank you again to everyone who has lifted our family up in prayer over the past few weeks. Life has been challenging with Lisa ending up in the hospital a few weeks ago, and then coming home on modified bed rest. But the other kids have really helped to make everything run smoothly in our home. We are truly blessed with the family that the Lord has given us. And we don't take for granted the role that all of your prayers have played over the past few weeks.
Since we know a lot of you will ask, here are some of the details on the baby:
Born: March 25th, 2021 at 7:01 PM
Weight: 7lbs 6oz
Although this has been a slow month for us, with Lisa in the hospital for a few days and then on modified rest orders for the past three weeks, it has been amazing to see God continuing to work.
We received a $5000 gift towards our outfit and passage fund. This puts us at just under $11,500. Our goal is to raise $27,500 for this fund. So we are getting closer to halfway.
We also had another family commit to $100 in monthly support. This brings our total committed support to about 92%. We now only need to raise $460 in monthly support and we will be fully funded!
It is very humbling to us, that so many of you continued to increase our support over this past month, especially in a time when we were not able to travel or attend meetings. I had to cancel two meetings due to the pregnancy complications, and yet God has seen fit to raise support on our behalf anyways. We praise God for His prompting others, and we thank all of you for being a blessing to us.
Missionary Acres Update
A lot has been going on at Missionary Acres over the past month.
Praise God, a family from the Colville, WA area drove down with a load of lumber for a home that is under construction. A new home is being build for a Pastor and his wife who are retiring soon.
The couple from Colville rented some equipment to help dig up and repair broken water lines all over the property. Most of the lines have been in the ground for quite a long time, and some of them have cracked and begun to leak. It will be a huge blessing to everyone at Missionary Acres to have these lines repaired.
It is such a joy to have folks from all over the country willing and able to come down and volunteer to serve God at the Acres.
There is so much work to be done, and we cherish all who come and spend any time serving at Missionary Acres.
If you are interested in coming down to help serve, please let us know, and we will put you in contact with Ken Moon, the Missionary Acres Administrator. Volunteers are always welcome. And you don't have to be a contractor, there are all kinds, and sizes of projects that you can assist with.
We praise God, for all of the kind words that were sent to us over the past month. We have received letters, cards, Facebook chats, etc. and has been a real encouragement to our family.
Ezra was born healthy and is doing well.
Lisa is doing well and recovering.
Our current committed support level is 92.1%
Jayme was accepted to College of the Ozarks, and is looking forward to studying graphic design there this fall. UPDATE: she has also been accepted into the summer work study program, and will be heading to the campus in May to work. This will cover her food and lodging expenses for the coming school year. Praise God!
God has given us protection as we have been driving in the winter weather.
Volunteers at Missionary Acres were able to get a lot done this past month.
For a fully-funded outfit and passage account so we can quickly get our home at the Acres ready and make the cross-country move later this year
That our family would grow closer to God and continue to grow spiritually during deputation.
For salvation for our children who are not yet saved.
That the residents and staff currently at Missionary Acres would continue to stay healthy.
To continue to connect with Pastors and fill our schedule for 2021. We are hoping to schedule meetings in the Missouri area in June.
That God would raise our support level to 100%.
For continued safety on the roads.
For continued health for our family.
