Dear USET/USET SPF Family,
Following last Thursday's Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services' (CMS) webinar on the agency's Interim Final Rule (IFR) requiring COVID-19 vaccinations for all health care staff at facilities participating in the Medicare and Medicaid programs, we have received a number of questions from our membership regarding the IFR's application to Tribally operated facilities. We have reached out to CMS Tribal Affairs staff and although they are seeking internal verification, it appears that the IFR does apply to, "covered Tribal facilities listed in the IFR, such as a clinic or FQHC that participates as a provider under Medicare or Medicaid."
With this in mind, we wanted to pass along the following additional opportunities to engage with CMS on the IFR:
