As some of you may know, I recently took several of my books out of the Kindle Unlimited program so I could offer them on other book selling platforms.
Kindle Unlimited has been great for me and my books the past 6 years and I've appreciated having so many readers find my books through that program. But with the changes Amazon has made this year, it has become trickier to keep all of my ebooks solely in the Amazon basket. (Due to Amazon's rules, ebooks in KU can't be available on any other platform.)
My ebooks will still be available on Amazon of course, they just aren't part of the KU subscription anymore.
Now...have I actually published my books to all the other book retailers like Apple Books and Barnes and Noble yet? No...lets just say summer is crazy at my house haha!
But I did create my own Shopify store last month and have 14 books on there. (Eden Falls Academy will be joining them in October, so if you want to read those books while they're still in KU, I'd download them NOW!)
Something that's really cool about having my books on my own website now is that I can offer Book Bundles!
Because Amazon only gives authors 70% royalties for books priced at $2.99-$9.99, it makes it almost impossible for authors to offer big book bundles. But now that I have my own shop, I can sell my entire series in book bundles at a good price for you and me!
