In the past year, we have added 200 new DARE places and our DARE list now includes 1701 items. While our NomadMania Regions Masterlist is very carefully and rationally constructed, DARE puts the ‘mania’ into NomadMania by being a collection of unusual, mainly hard-to-get-to places.

For now, we will rest at this number (1701) of DARE places for the next year or so, as we focus on other geographical projects.

Meanwhile, take the time to discover the quirky world of NomadMania’s unique DARE places by ensuring you fill in the ones you have DAREd visit!

See Who Is Joining the Conference 6 in Brazil

Beyond building a tech platform to help you track your travels, our vision is centered on fostering meaningful connections between travellers around the world.

That’s why we continuously invest in the social aspect of our community — making it easier for our members to connect with each other, both on the road and beyond.

For instance, you can now see who’s attending our upcoming Conference 6 in Ouro Preto, Brazil. These are travellers who have already paid their event deposit — an option that was previously available exclusively to our Premium Members.

As you can see, there are still three times more people interested in joining! We’ve managed to secure a deal with the hotel and will be releasing additional spots TOMORROW.

Since it looks like we won’t be able to accommodate everyone this time, only members who marked themselves as interested will receive the notification. Stay tuned!

Introducing the New Series Team

Some months ago, we reached out to our community with an open call, an invitation to join us in making NomadMania’s Series more dynamic, diverse and efficient. The response was fantastic!

This is NomadMania’s newly formed Series Team — seven passionate travellers now shaping the future of Series! Get to know them more here.

Meet the team:

1. Artur Padalianchyk (Team Leader) – Tech leader by trade, traveller and foodie by heart.
2. Thijs Copraij – Pilot, diver, hiker, historian and castle enthusiast.
3. Olivier Demars – Frenchman living across continents, making his way to 193.
4. Douglas Gerhardt – Serial traveller, diver, and avgeek uncovering hidden gems.
5. Niels Honkoop – Dutch “cheese prince”, law grad and lover of old maps and markets.
6. Stephen Nemeth – Museum maniac exploring the world’s obscure historical sites.
7. Jack Shepherd – Tourism lecturer exploring travel’s peacebuilding potential.

It's their mission to make NomadMania’s Series a true reference point for the discerning traveller — uncovering gems even in the most remote corners of the world.
