Season’s Greetings!! We have had an absolute cracker of a year in 2021 and I would like to thank all of you for your loyal support and patronage.
We have produced some wonderful entertainment, which has brought many newcomers to our theatre both on stage and in the audience. Drama classes continue to be a roaring success and delivered a highly entertaining Christmas production. New volunteers have joined us in all areas of theatre operations and some familiar faces from the past have returned to us. Our Front of House has well and truly moved forward with the times; some upgrades to technology and equipment have allowed us to operate even more efficiently than before. Our new range in the bar has also been very popular. Our costumes and props cottage has been brilliantly organized and maintained and our merry band of backstage and construction volunteers continue to surprise us with the amazing work they produce.
Could it get any better? Well, yes, I suppose it can!! A brief glimpse into 2022 will see the launch of our new website with many new features including digital links to our membership portal. Front of House will continue to evolve with more new features. Upgrades to our infrastructure, including our lighting and sound rigging are in the works and we will continue to seek and train new volunteers all while delivering fabulous entertainment.
New Covid regulations will impact on our operations in the New Year. Like all other hospitality and entertainment venues, patrons and staff/volunteers must demonstrate proof that they are double Covid-vaxxed before they can enter the premises. We know that there are some strong feelings about this in the community, but we would ask you to understand that to keep our doors open, we must be compliant and hope that you will continue to support us as best as you feel that you can. We certainly hope to see you soon.
Wishing you and yours a safe and splendid Christmas and New Year holiday, from the Z-PAC Family.

Update on Financial Position & Memberships
Message from the Treasurer
ZPAC Theatre entered the Covid-19 pandemic with no savings and a difficult year ahead with cancelled shows and strict capacity limits required.
Mid-year 2020 the committee set two goals for the year ahead - to build a buffer equal to one year’s running costs ($35,000) to protect against future shutdowns and cancellations, and to save a portion of each show’s profits ($5,000 or 30% per show) to build a sinking fund for essential repairs which may become necessary in the future.
18 months on, thanks to the incredible support of our community and shoe-string planning by our directors, I am pleased to report we now have a term deposit of $20,000 which will increase to $35,000 when it matures in February and the beginnings of a sinking fund ($15,000) which we will continue to build on with every show.
We are in a strong position starting 2022 and as a thank you to our valued members we are reducing the 12-month Membership fee to $15. We are moving to a digital membership platform that will allow members to login to update details and book discounted tickets, and your membership will be valid for 12 months instead of expiring on December 31 each year. Expect to receive a membership invitation in the next couple of weeks.
Have a fantastic Christmas Season and start to 2022 - I look forward to another successful year with you!
Hot on the heels of 2021’s hilarious physical comedy FLUMMOXED comes more zany, creative madness from the ubiquitous director and creator, Jonathan Dunn. Set on a 1930’s style ocean-Liner / spaceship, ROUGH chronicles the hilarious doings of some weird and wacky characters in three separate stories on board the ‘ship’ during a very rough voyage. Can a cannibal barber be reformed? What happens to stowaways? Will Lady P’s secret mission be a triumph or a tragedy? Find out in ROUGH when it launches 4 March 2022.
