Metalcore-blimey, its Pommy upstarts While She Sleeps with their fifth studio album, Sleeps Society.
It only took me until the second listen, and I was hookedâŚâŚon hooks.
Of which there are plenty. And I mean plenty. Almost too many hooks. That and the modern recording sheen that pushes everything to the maximum loudness, are the only two things I could fault about this album.

The beautifully disturbing Gothic vision of a place we call the new world can only describe the contents of the latest album from Arkansan rock band Evanescence.
The band hadnât released anything remotely close to an album in ten years, so to hear something from Amy Lee and the gang is extremely refreshing to these old ears.Â

Back in the 1990s and early 2000s Hollywood went through a phase where it loved to mix âsex-upâ itâs crime thrillers. The result was classic films like Basic Instinct and of course every teenage boyâs dream â Wild Things. Of course though like all Hollywood phase for every sexy crime thriller that hit its mark there were another twenty that fell from the way-side… and you can find most of those ones in the DVD section of The Reject Shop these days.

As a film lover I have never really been much of a James Bond fan. As a kid I can remember sitting down with my father and watching Bond films with him. Dad was a Bond connoisseur and I remember sitting there wishing I could get as much enjoyment out of them as he seemed to. But I never did, instead all I could ever see was a cheesy character in a world that never seemed real.

I first fell in love with the work of Kelly Reichardt when I first saw the film Wendy Lucy over a decade ago.
